Summer Retreat

Treat yourself to a full day of writing in a cozy Duneland home in Michigan City, Indiana. You may choose from a variety of inspiring locations in which to write: on the deck or sun porch overlooking Kimball Woods, a rustic bench under the trees, or at the kitchen or dining room tables. Four private rooms with desks are available and Lake Michigan is less than a mile away. Lunch is included. For those who find inspiration in movement, we are offering an optional yoga session, open to all levels of experience, led by Deirdre Guthrie, director of YogaGlow in Three Oaks, Michigan.
(The yoga session meets from 8:00-9:00 am. Mats provided.)

The Manuscript Series is open to anyone who has attended a Sunset Coast Writers workshop or retreat, including members of the Veterans Writing Workshop and those who have participated in writing programs through Lory’s Place or the Box Factory’s summer arts program. It is intended for those who have a project that is ready for in-depth feedback and for those who would like to do a significant amount of new writing. Enrollment limited to 4 people.
